Alicia Merrett

My passion is colour and I try to convey my feelings through it.  For me colour is a language in the same way as music is.  My medium is textiles, and I use quilting techniques to give texture and depth to my stitched textiles. My inspiration comes from a variety of sources: nature, urban landscape, music, literature, and lately, maps.  My background in photographic studies influences my way of seeing.

I exhibit extensively in the UK and abroad.
