Carol Griffin
I work with a variety of materials to create sculptural forms using sheer fabrics, plastics, wires, and abaca tissue.
Areas of interest focus on layering overlapping and manipulation techniques such as folding, pleating and fusing.
Much of my work involves the use of a simple repeated motif.
I gain inspiration from many sources both real and imagined but essentially enjoy experimenting with the materials themselves, observing the relationship between shape, space, reflection and shadow.
