Caroline Reali

I studied textiles at West Surrey College of Art & Design 1978-1981 and studied M.A Texiles at Birmingham 1981-1982. I have exhibited in the UK with various art groups and in Germany.
My medium is hand woven tapestry weaving. I weave small architectural and landscape/seascape pieces based on places I have visited in the UK and Europe.
I weave in linens on a cotton warp (10 ends to the inch) using a combination of plain weave, wrapping and knotting techniques. I am particularly interested in the dense textures and mixing of colours that tapestry uniquely creates.

I am a regular participant in the North Somerset Arts Week and I am a member of the British Tapestry Group.
