Deborah Pawle

I work with textiles and mixed media and specialise in tapestry weaving. I am interested in creating pieces that fully utilise the materials I am working with to create a visual and tactile sensory experience. The main inspiration for my work is the beach on which I live on the Severn estuary, which changes constantly; each day is a new experience. Other influences are the books that I have read and concerns for the environment.

I have City and Guilds qualifications in Fashion and Tapestry Weaving and have taken part in local exhibitions and craft fairs as well as North Somerset Arts Week.

I am also a member of the British Tapestry Group and South West Textile Forum.
