In 1988 I made a career change achieving a BA First Class (Hons) in Combined Arts at the Faculty of Arts & Education University of Plymouth in 1993, I added an Adult Education Teachers Certificate and Assessor Awards and became a visiting lecturer on the Combined Arts Course at the University of Plymouth,
In 1997 I was awarded a Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship to study papermaking in Japan and tapa cloth in Tonga.
My present work is related to memory and reasons why people fail to learn.
